At YWCA Lubbock Childcare and Preschool, we believe every child in our community deserves safe, nurturing care and a strong start in education. Through a focus on literacy, early learning, and school readiness, our licensed childcare center in Lubbock offers twenty-eight classrooms designed to prepare children for kindergarten and lifelong success.

Our infant and toddler teachers hold Child Development Associate (CDA) credentials, while our preschool teachers have Associate or Bachelor’s degrees in Early Education. Each educator is trained to support the unique needs of early childhood development, including working with families facing high-risk factors. Parents are active partners, with frequent communication to help them support their child’s growth at home.

The YWCA Lubbock childcare program uses the Frog Street Curriculum, a comprehensive pre-kindergarten framework aligned with Texas Pre-K Guidelines. This proven curriculum helps children build skills across all key areas:
