AMEND of LBK equips young men with the tools to lead healthier, more balanced lives by practicing respect, building resilience, and cultivating positive relationships.
At the YWCA, we believe in the power of community, and nowhere is that more evident than in AMEND of LBK, a transformative initiative launched in 2020 for Lubbock’s young men ages 10–17. What began as a safe space for mentorship and growth has blossomed into a movement that’s changing lives, one respectful conversation at a time.
Respect, Relationships, and Real Growth
AMEND of LBK clubs meet weekly across 14 campuses, guided by trained facilitators, coaches, community volunteers, and role models, who help young men navigate the journey from middle school to adulthood.
The number one rule? Respect. Respect in communication, respect in relationships, and respect for oneself.
