The YWCA Community Youth Development Program (CYD) serves youth between the ages of 7 and 17 in the 79403, 79404, 79412 and 79415 zip codes. All curriculum is based on the 40 Developmental Assets established by the Search Institute.
CYD provides mentoring, youth leadership development, post high school development and the Youth Advisory Committee, a student-led leadership committee. Additionally, CYD offers a vast array of services that meet specific community youth needs and promotes family support and involvement, including:
leadership development
character education
conflict resolution
college readiness
career development
life skills
The CYD program and all activities are free provided you live in the 79403, 79404, 79412 or 79415 zip codes. To register your child(ren), please fill out the Registration application (below). Community members and college students are welcome to apply to volunteer.
