Summer Day Camp:
The YWCA summer camp program plays a critical role in assuring that young people have a safe and fun environment to spend the day while parents are at work. By staying actively engaged through the summer, children return to school in the fall ready to learn.

Mini-Camp is offered on Lubbock ISD staff development days and most holidays from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. for only $30 per day per child.
Children will be fed lunch and a snack and have planned activities throughout the day.
Minicamp sign ups are in the front office closer to Minicamp dates.
You may enroll for mini camp as long as the following criteria is met:

YW-CAmp is a CCS provider through the Texas Workforce Commission Child Care Services program. Call (806) 744-3572 for eligibility.
YWCA scholarships also are available on a first-come, first-served basis for families not eligible for CCS funds. More information and financial aid applications are available at the YWCA front desk.

A Day at Camp:
Meals: Lunch and a healthy snack will be served each day. If your child has special dietary needs, please bring medical verification to the YWCA front office so we can request snacks that meet those needs.
Activities: Children will participate in sports, arts and crafts, educational enrichment, group play, etc. Children will swim a couple of times a week, depending on age group.
Curriculum: The YWCA Summer Day Camp curriculum has both educational and recreational components to provide a balanced program for children.
Enrichment Centers: The following enrichment centers offer your child a variety of opportunities for play: manipulative, dramatic play, art, games, puzzles, blocks, etc.
Outdoor Play: Outdoor play time is an essential part of our Summer Day Camp. Please dress your child accordingly. We encourage children to wear tennis shoes.
Field Trips and Special Events: We take pride in working with community partners and organizations to provide our campers with educational and exciting experiences. Each week we invite organizations to our facilities or we visit their location. Texas Tech, Walter’s World of Pets, Science Spectrum, and Lubbock Symphony Orchestra are just a few of the organizations working with us this summer.
