The YWCA of Lubbock serves a wide variety of members and citizens of our community, and we couldn’t do it without selfless, active, and generous volunteers, members, and donors.

Women’s Health Initiative

The YWCA of Lubbock began the Women’s Health Initiative (WHI) in 1996. The initiative focuses on women and men in Lubbock and the seventeen surrounding counties of the South Plains who fall within 200% of poverty guidelines and have no health insurance coverage or who are under-insured.

Women of Excellence recognizes and honors women in our community who have achieved excellence in their careers or professions and whose contributions to business, industry, organizations, and the community are crucial to the success of the same.

Lemonade Day

Lubbock Lemonade Day provides a free, fun, experiential opportunity for children to learn about entrepreneurship by running their own small business—a lemonade stand.

Father-Daughter Dance

Father-Daughter Dance is an annual event held in February that highlights the special bond between fathers and daughters. This event gives daughters an opportunity to feel like a Cinderella and create great childhood memories.
