Youth Sports

YWCA of Lubbock Sports works to provide an opportunity for all youth to learn and play sports while engaging and benefitting the community. In doing so, we promote the development of each player, provide a safe and controlled environment for kids to play, use volunteer parents from within the community to become quality coaches and assistants. Our league stands out through offering a higher level of achievement in sportsmanship and character development for all players, regardless of skill. We strive to demonstrate teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship with making sure the season stays equal parts play and fun.

We need coaches!

Typically, youth sports are anywhere from seven to 10 weeks in length. The time commitment is approximately two-four hours per week, one one-hour practices a game week and games on Saturdays.

Our programs are designed to educate youth about the specific sport, while emphasizing development in teamwork, participation, and sportsmanship. Players learn skills and lessons that help them succeed both on and off the field/court. Coaches are to assist in providing young players a fun and exciting opportunity to engage in non-contact, continuous action while developing the skills necessary to become successful players.
