Aquatics

Our aquatics program offers a breadth of activities that meet the needs of every age and fitness level. From Aqua Tots swim lessons and lap swim to classes for those suffering from arthritis and orthopedic disabilities, as well as a variety of certification classes, there is something for you!

With an indoor and outdoor pool, we can accommodate hundreds of splashing people during the summer months. Both pools are available for private parties and proudly serve men and women of all ages and at every level of fitness. Lifeguards are on duty at all times.

MARGARET RICHARDS AQUATICS CENTER

Our indoor pool, located at 3101 35th Street, is 25 yards long and has six full lap lanes. The facility offers the community a heated, multipurpose pool that is perfect for lap swimming and low impact exercise, as well as space and unstructured times for families to play together.

SUN 'N FUN

Our outdoor pool at 6204 Elgin Avenue operates during th summer months. Its capacity of 450 makes it perfect for YWCA Summer Camps, day care centers throughout the city, and families that come to enjoy a day of swimming or a celebration party.

2010 Opening Day: Friday, May 28
2010 Last Hurrah: Sunday, August 22
2010 Hours: Monday through Saturday -- 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
                   Monday Family Night -- 6 to 8:30 p.m.
                   Sunday -- 2 to 5 p.m.

Private parties available Tuesdays through Saturdays after 6 p.m. and Sundays after 5 p.m.
